School Mascot: Buddy

School Information

Buddy The Bear is a large brown teddy bear with light brown eyes.
We use Buddy as a reward for good behaviour and discipline in the junior yard which includes First to Third class.
Buddy is 81cm in height. Weighing in at 7kg he's very heavy for a teddy bear and even more so for a first class boy. He has brown Fur, brown eyes and big paws. Buddy wears an old St. Patrick's GAA jersey. It's the jersey Mr. Horgan used to wear when he was on the school team in his younger days.
Buddy was donated by a past pupil of St. Patricks (Michael O'Donovan) and Kieran O'Gorman came up with the name Buddy in a school wide competition.
Buddy's favourite food is the chicken and cheese homework club rolls and some apple juice.
Buddy plays a lot of sports including soccer, Gaelic, swimming and running but the sport he loves best is..... HURLING. He comes to all our big games and sings the school songs brilliantly.

By James Hayes and Luke O Donoghue. (6th Class)
