Home School Links- Ronan Lettis - St Patricks BNS

My name is Ronan Lettis and I am the Home School Community Liaison Coordinator for St. Patrick’s B.N.S. My role is to establish and build partnerships between parents and the school and I am very much looking forward to working with our parents over the coming years.    
Activities undertaken by the HSCL coordinator include:

Home visitations
Organisation of in-school activities and courses for parents
Advising and supporting parents on education- related issues
The promotion of a stimulating home learning environment
Meeting with community interests relevant to the education and welfare of pupils in the school
Encouraging co-operation between home, school and community interests
Your child will be involved in a number of exciting activities in school and at times you will get the opportunity to work alongside them and courses and classes will be available for parents too. These will cover many subjects including English Language, Art, Computers, Parenting, Maths for fun, Literacy, Knitting, Music, Flower Arranging, Wellbeing, Cookery to mention but a few! We are always trying to identify initiatives that are appealing to the parents so if you are interested in a class or activity, please let me know.
The school will also host coffee mornings and fundraising events and your support is always appreciated.
